Jessica Joseph

I am a classically trained violinist with over thirteen years of focused study and performance experience. My musical background is rooted in extensive orchestral and ensemble work, including service as Concertmaster, as well as chamber and liturgical performances. These experiences shaped a disciplined approach to musicianship grounded in technical rigor, stylistic awareness, and expressive depth.

I hold ABRSM certifications in Violin Performance and Music Theory and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Political Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, which informs my approach to teaching and deepens my understanding of learning, expression, and cultural context in music. I have a deep interest in music history and love to attend performances by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Opera, which continually inform my musical perspective.

My teaching emphasizes strong technical foundations, thoughtful repertoire selection, and musical literacy, while encouraging students to develop individuality and expressive confidence. Lessons are structured and responsive, with experience working with neurodiverse learners in ways that are supportive without compromising musical standards.

I now teach privately at Jessica Joseph Violin Studio. Having traveled to over ten countries, I bring a broader cultural perspective into lessons, incorporating historical and global context to enrich students’ musical understanding.
